4 Days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari : This safari will take you on an adventurous journey to the Bwindi Gorilla Forest and Lake Bunyonyi and it starts in Kampala and ends in it. The Uganda safari will take you to the Bwindi impenetrable national park which is located in the southwest part of Uganda, where you will be able to spend some time with mountain gorillas in their natural environment.
As part of the 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will also have the opportunity to visit Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa after Lake Tanganyika, where you will have the opportunity to explore the 29 islands of this lake as well as enjoy an interesting boat cruise.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the first day of the 4 day Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunonyi safari, depending on your location, a driver guide will welcome you and explain the safari and then begin the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
There will be many wonderful sights along the way, including terraced farmlands and picturesque scenery. Upon arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodations.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
The second day of your Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari begins with breakfast, followed by a packed lunch and a meeting with your driver guide for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking.
Once the briefing has been completed, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek with an experienced park guide and you will begin your trek in the jungle.
In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, gorilla trekking takes approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.
As part of trekking, you will have the opportunity to observe other primate species, birds, plants, and once you have located the mountain gorillas, you will have one hour to spend with them in their natural habitat. This trip allows you to learn about their behaviors, habits, observe how they feed, breastfeed, groom their young, take pictures, and record the moments to share with your family and friends.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Upon returning to the starting point, you will be awarded a certificate for taking part in gorilla trekking. Your driver guide will then transfer you to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Day 3: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast on the third day of your four-day Bwindi gorilla and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to proceed to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale.
Upon arrival in Lake Bunyonyi, you will check into the lodge for lunch, followed by an exciting boat cruise on the lake.
There will be opportunities to explore some of the islands during the boat ride, such as the punishment island, see different birds, beautiful scenery, and terraced farmlands, among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala
After enjoying a relaxing breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide for the transfer back to Kampala at the end of your 4 days Bwindi gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi safari.
In Mbarara town, you will have lunch en-route and then continue your journey with a stopover at the Equator to take photos and purchase souvenirs.
Upon arriving at Kampala early evening, your driver guide will take you to Entebbe international airport for your departure flight.
