Tour itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali –Kigali city tour
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will meet pick up, and transfer you to the accommodation booked for your check-in, after which we will embark on the Kigali city tour, you will visit the local market, the Rwanda memorial genocide, Rwanda museum for old arts crafts, returning for dinner and staying overnight at the Kigali Serena Hotel (Luxury)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and ibywacu cultural visit
Wake up for early morning breakfast and drive to Volcanoes national park, you will arrive in time for the gorilla trekking activity, it is done in groups of eight per gorilla family, the park is home to habituated gorilla families, trained to do their day to day activities while being watched, the briefing will be done by the park ranger on how to conduct yourself while with the gorillas, trekking mountain gorilla time depends, it can be 2 hours or even take the whole day doing the gorillas, they roam a lot and know how to even cross to another country, they don’t understand borders, on meeting them, an hour is allowed while with the primates, returning for evening entertainment from the Ibywacu community people they will perform a Kinyarwanda dance and songs. Day 3: Golden monkey track and Dian Fossey Hike
Golden Monkey is a critically endangered species of the Virunga, on this day you will have breakfast after which report to the park headquarters for another day in the park, tracking the golden Monkey is not as tiring as the Gorilla, they love to eat bamboo and therefore can easily be found and located, they pose for the most beautiful pictures but are very fast at jumping from one branch to another if you are to take pictures to be ready with the Camera, 2 – 3 hours are spent tracking the Golden Monkeys then later return to the lodge for lunch, and after we have a hike to the Dian Fossey to pay tribute to the Fallen American primatologist who made Volcanoes as popular, returning for dinner and staying overnight at Singita Kwitonda Lodge (Luxury)
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On this day of our 6 days trip, you will be heading to Country number two for more adventure, following breakfast, we will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, it takes approximately 4 hours drive to arrive at the destination via the Cyanika border, coming for dinner and staying overnight at Bwindi Lodge (Luxury)
Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience
You will have an early morning breakfast after which assemble at the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking safari experience, it begins with a briefing of things to know while with the gorillas, as our guide will be helping you to register, gorillas trekking time depends on how far these Majestic creatures have moved, they are herbivorous in nature and therefore spend most of their time eating, one reason they don’t feed in one place for two days is that they eat lots, they migrate to allow food grow back, one hour will be allowed to interact with the gorillas while observing their rules and regulations.
Day 6: Departure to Entebbe
Breakfast and drive to Entebbe to catch your international flight back home, expect a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and at the equator for a picture moment.
